ParaBoards is a modular sit-down vehicle system built around The Chariot — a high-spec rollable seat platform designed from the start to accept power attachments. The Original ParaBoards (a power skateboard) and the ParaScooter connect to The Chariot and give you electric around-town capability. The Battery Box powers both. Every component uses standardized parts. You can fix it yourself and source parts from common vendors.

Target pricing: The Chariot approximately $1,000. Each propulsion attachment approximately $1,000. Battery Box approximately $1,000. A fully powered single-attachment setup runs approximately $3,000 projected. The full system — both propulsion attachments plus Battery Box plus Chariot — runs approximately $4,000 projected. No. The Chariot alone is a capable everyday manual chair. You start with what you need. Attachments are separate purchases you can add later. You can own one propulsion attachment or both — the system is designed to support either choice.

From common vendors — not from us. That's a design requirement, not a policy choice. Standardized parts that you can source independently are how we ensure you actually own the thing you bought. Specific parts lists and recommended sources will be published with the product documentation.

Your rig still works. Every component uses standardized parts available from common vendors. You don't source parts through ParaBoards. If we close tomorrow, nothing about your ability to maintain and use the system changes. This is explicit design intent — not a promise about a hypothetical, but a functional property of the system.

A founding contribution of $150 lets you support the build and hold a place in the production queue. It is not a purchase. It is not a charitable donation and is not tax-deductible. It does not guarantee a product, a delivery date, or a specific price. It is a supporter pledge that gets credited toward your order if and when a product ships to you.
